List of Famous people who died in 2004
Nathan Gale
On December 8, 2004, four people were murdered and three others were wounded in a mass shooting at the Alrosa Villa nightclub in Columbus, Ohio, United States. Heavy metal musician Dimebag Darrell, the main target of the attack, was on stage with his band Damageplan when the shooting took place. The perpetrator, 25-year-old Nathan Gale, was shot and killed by police officer James Niggemeyer, as Gale held a wounded victim hostage.

Saturnino "Nino" Manfredi was an Italian actor, voice actor, director, screenwriter, playwright, comedian, singer, author, radio personality and television presenter.
Miriam Pires
Miriam Pires was a Brazilian actress. She acted in over 40 telenovelas, including prominent roles in Irmãos Coragem, Pecado Capital, Gabriela, Pedra sobre Pedra, Sonho Meu, and Casarão. Having won the Festival de Brasília Best Supporting Actress Award in 1978 for A Summer Rain, Pires acted in twelve films during her career. She was born in Rio de Janeiro, where she died from toxoplasmosis.
Hisashi Nozawa
Hisashi Nozawa was a Japanese screenwriter and mystery novelist. He won the Kuniko Mukōda Prize in 1998 for his screenplay Nemureru Mori and Kekkon Zen'ya. He also won the Edogawa Rampo Prize in 1997 for Hasen no marisu and the Eiji Yoshikawa Prize for New Writers in 2001 for Shinku (Crimson). The South Korean TV Network SBS broadcast a 16 Episode Drama Alone in Love adapted from one of his novels in 2006. He also wrote Detective Conan - The Phantom of Baker Street.
Tatsuya Mihashi
Tatsuya Mihashi was a Japanese actor best known internationally for his role as Commander Minoru Genda in the 1970 Japanese-American war epic Tora! Tora! Tora!. In addition, Mihashi was known for his roles in Akira Kurosawa's The Bad Sleep Well, The Human Vapor, Chūshingura: Hana no Maki, Yuki no Maki, High and Low, None but the Brave and the lead role as agent Jiro Kitami in Kokusai himitsu keisatsu: Kagi no kagi, which was reedited in the US as What's Up, Tiger Lily? Mihashi's looks were compared to those of Cary Grant's. He died in 2004 of Myocardial infarction.

Carlos Nakatani
Carlos Nakatani was a painter, sculptor, cinematographer and writer, the son of a Japanese immigrant to Mexico, noted for his introduction of a snack simply called “Japanese peanuts” in Mexico City, and older brother of singer Yoshio. Nakatani is best known for his painting, which mixes Mexican and Japanese influences, as part of a generation of artists which broke with the Mexican art establishment from the early 20th century. Reclusive, he nonetheless won a number of recognitions for his work and was a member of the Salón de la Plástica Mexicana.
