Harold John Arthur was the 68th Governor of Vermont from 1950 to 1951. He also served as the 64th Lieutenant Governor of Vermont from 1949 to 1950.

Josef Kainar was a Czech poet, lyrics writer, dramatic author and translator, but also a musician, illustrator, artist and journalist. He was a member of artistic group Skupina 42 and literary group Ohnice.

James Howard Edmondson was an American politician from the U.S. state of Oklahoma. He served as the 16th governor of Oklahoma from 1959 to 1963, and an appointed United States Senator from Oklahoma from 1963 to 1964, ousted by voters who elected Fred R. Harris in a special election for the U.S. Senate. Elected Governor at the age of 33, Edmondson is still the youngest governor in the history of the state.

Alvin Saunders Johnson was an American economist and a co-founder and first director of The New School.

John William Pilbean Goffage MBE, known professionally as Chips Rafferty, was an Australian actor. Called "the living symbol of the typical Australian", Rafferty's career stretched from the late 1930s until his death in 1971, and during this time he performed regularly in major Australian feature films as well as appearing in British and American productions, including The Overlanders and The Sundowners. He appeared in commercials in Britain during the late 1950s, encouraging British emigration to Australia.

Milton Rosmer was a British actor, film director and screenwriter. He made his screen debut in The Mystery of a Hansom Cab (1915) and continued to act in theatre, film and television until 1956. In 1926 he directed his first film The Woman Juror and went on to direct another 16 films between 1926 and 1938.

Lawrence L. "Larry" Morey was an American lyricist and screenwriter. He co-wrote some of the most successful songs in Disney films of the 1930s and 1940s, including "Heigh-Ho", "Some Day My Prince Will Come", and "Whistle While You Work"; and was also responsible for adapting Felix Salten's book Bambi, A Life in the Woods into the 1942 Disney film, Bambi.

Olga Ivanovna Preobrazhenskaya was a Russian Empire and Soviet actress and film director, one of the first female film directors. She is most famous for directing the film Women of Ryazan.
