Rev. William Champion Streatfeild MA (1839–1912) was an English clergyman and descendant of the historic Streatfeild family. In his retirement he lived at Chart’s Edge and Hoseyrigge, in Westerham Kent.

Auguste Marie François Beernaert was the Prime Minister of Belgium from October 1884 to March 1894, and the 1909 Nobel Peace Prize laureate.

Sir Robert Eyles Egerton was a British administrator in the Imperial Civil Service who served as a member of the Imperial Legislative Council and as Lieutenant Governor of the Punjab.

Frédéric Passy was a French economist and pacifist who was a founding member of several peace societies and the Inter-Parliamentary Union. He was also an author and politician, sitting in the Chamber of Deputies from 1881 until 1889. He was a joint winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1901 for his work in the European peace movement.

Jules Sales was a Belgian racing cyclist. He won the Belgian national road race title in 1904.

Frederick VIII was King of Denmark from 1906 to 1912. Before his accession to the throne at age 62, he served as crown prince for over 42 years. During the long reign of his father, King Christian IX, he was largely excluded from influence and political power.
