George Springer was an American mathematician and computer scientist. He was professor emeritus of computer science at Indiana University Bloomington.

Geoffrey Toone was an English character actor and former matinee idol, born in Ireland. Most of his film roles after the 1930s were in supporting parts, usually as authority figures, though he did play the lead character in the Hammer Films production The Terror of the Tongs in 1961.

Fred W. Berger was an American film editor. He was nominated for an Academy Award in the category Best Film Editing for the film The Hot Rock. He also won an Primetime Emmy Award and was nominated for seven more in the category Outstanding Picture Editing for his work on the television programs M*A*S*H and Dallas. Berger died in May 2003 of natural causes at his home in Westwood, California, at the age of 94.

Frederick Katz was an American cellist and composer. He was among the earliest jazz musicians to establish the cello as a viable improvising solo instrument. Katz has been described in CODA magazine as "the first real jazz cellist."
