Frank Evans Heart was an American computer engineer influential in computer networking. After nearly 15 years working for MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Heart worked for Bolt, Beranek and Newman from 1966 to 1994, during which he led a team that designed the first routing computer for the ARPANET, the predecessor to the Internet.

Valentine Tessier (1892–1981) was a French actress who appeared in around thirty films during her career. She played the title role in Jean Renoir's 1934 film version of Madame Bovary.

Khan Abdul Wali Khan was a Pakistani secular democratic socialist and Pashtun leader, and served as president of Awami National Party. Son of the prominent Pashtun nationalist leader Abdul Ghaffar Khan, Wali Khan was an activist and a writer against the British Raj like his father.

Manfredo Perdigão do Carmo was a Brazilian mathematician, doyen of Brazilian differential geometry, and former president of the Brazilian Mathematical Society. He was at the time of his death an emeritus researcher at the IMPA.
