Raúl Prebisch was an Argentine economist known for his contributions to structuralist economics such as the Prebisch–Singer hypothesis, which formed the basis of economic dependency theory. He became the executive director of the Economic Commission for Latin America in 1950. In 1950, he also released the very influential study The Economic Development of Latin America and its Principal Problems.

Paul Pierre Lévy was a French mathematician who was active especially in probability theory, introducing fundamental concepts such as local time, stable distributions and characteristic functions. Lévy processes, Lévy flights, Lévy measures, Lévy's constant, the Lévy distribution, the Lévy area, the Lévy arcsine law, and the fractal Lévy C curve are named after him.

Odette Siko was a French auto racing driver, who competed in endurance and rally racing during the 1920s and 1930s. At the 1932 24 Hours of Le Mans, she won the 2 Liter class and finished in fourth place overall, becoming the highest placing female driver in the event's history. Siko competed in three more Le Mans 24 hour races.
