Agustí Montal i Costa was a Spanish economist and businessman who was born in Barcelona, son of Agustí Montal Galobart. He was a member of an important family of Catalan cotton textile manufacturers. In 1969 he was elected president of FC Barcelona, a post he held until 1977.

Paul Rosche was a German engineer known for his work at BMW. He is notable for designing the engines of a number of BMW's high-performance models, including the M31 found in the BMW 2002 Turbo, the S14 for the E30 M3, the M12 for the 320i Turbo and the Brabham BT52, the M88 in the M1 and the S70/2 found in the V12 LMR and the McLaren F1.

Geertruida Wijsmuller-Meijer was a Dutch resistance fighter who brought Jewish children and adults into safety before and during the Second World War. Together with other people involved in the pre-war Kindertransport, she saved the lives of more than 10,000 Jewish children, fleeing anti-Semitism. She was honored as Righteous among the Nations by Yad Vashem. After the war she served on the Amsterdam city council.

Fernando Soto Aparicio was a Colombian poet, storyteller, playwright, novelist, librettist, and screenwriter. He was born in Socha, in the Department of Boyacá. Fernando Soto Aparicio spent his childhood in Santa Rosa de Viterbo. He is remembered for the novel The rebellion of the rats. After several decades as a professor at various universities in the country, in 1961 he was exalted with the prize Selecciones Lengua Española, in 1970 he received the Casa de las Américas Prize, and a year later, the prize City of Murcia. In total, he wrote about 70 literary works, among them novels, poems, books of short stories, as well as theatre plays.

Bernhard Eckstein was a German cyclist. In 1960, he won the road race at the world championships and finished in 22nd place in the road race at the 1960 Summer Olympics. During his career he won six one-day races, four in 1958, one in 1960, and one in 1966.

César Isella was an Argentinian singer and songwriter of folk music. He joined Los Fronterizos from 1956 to 1966, was one of the main figures of the "Movement of the New Songbook", and in the 1990s he discovered and sponsored the singer Soledad Pastorutti. He has written the music for "Canción con todos", regarded as the Latin American anthem.

Andrés Gimeno Tolaguera was a Spanish tennis player. His greatest achievement came in 1972, when he won the French Open and he remains the oldest first-time Grand Slam champion of the Open era at 34 years of age.

David Ross was an Australian aviator and intelligence officer. He was notably the consul of the British Empire to Portuguese Timor during the Second World War. Later in life he served as Regional Director of Civil Aviation for Western Australia.

Wakanohana Kanji I was a Japanese professional sumo wrestler. He was the sport's 45th yokozuna. He was a popular wrestler and was nicknamed the "Devil of the Dohyō" due to his great fighting spirit and endurance.
