Richard Church Thompson was an American illustrator and cartoonist best known for his syndicated comic strip Cul de Sac and the illustrated poem "Make the Pie Higher". He was given the Reuben Award for Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year for 2010.

Guadalupe Ortiz de Landázuri Fernández de Heredia was a Spanish Roman Catholic professor and a member of the Opus Dei personal prelature. She was one of the first women to join Opus Dei, after meeting the founder Josemaría Escrivá in 1944. She helped start Opus Dei in Mexico and also collaborated directly with Escrivá in Rome. A serious heart condition eventually claimed her life in 1975.

Francisco Abel Murrieta Gutiérrez was a Mexican lawyer and politician who was a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). He served as deputy of the LXIII Legislature of the Mexican Congress from 2015 to 2018, representing Sonora's sixth district. Previously, he was a member of the Congress of Sonora and the attorney general of the same state.
