Victoria Marinova was a Bulgarian TV host and journalist. She was raped and murdered at age 30. Her death caused international outrage during a time of increased violence against investigative reporters.
Sander Thoenes
Sander Thoenes was a Dutch journalist who was killed, near Dili in East Timor, by soldiers of the Indonesian army. He was shot when their paths crossed on a road as the Indonesians withdrew from the territory.
Johann Kastenberger
Johann Kastenberger was an Austrian marathon runner, bank robber and murderer. He infamously committed his crimes while wearing a Ronald Reagan mask, earning him the nickname Pumpgun Ronnie. Kastenberger's criminal life was the basis for the 2010 film The Robber.
Maksim Ishkeldin
Maksim Vitalyevich Ishkeldin was a Russian professional bandy player. He played for the Yenisey Krasnoyarsk Bandy Club from 2020, and previously for the Novosibirsk Sibselmash (2006–2010) and the Krasnogorsk Zorky (2010–2015) and the SKA-Neftyanik (2015–2020) and was part of the Russia national bandy team in world championship competitions. After the 2017–18 season he was elected the best player in the Russian Super League, as well as after the 2018–19 season.

Stefan Liv
Stefan Daniel Patryk Liv was a Polish-born Swedish professional ice hockey goaltender. Liv played professionally in Sweden, North America and Russia. Liv played nine seasons for HV71 in the top-tier league in Sweden. He played one season in Detroit Red Wings organization without managing to make his debut in the NHL. He then returned to Europe and HV71. Upon his return, he played three seasons in Sweden, then moved to Russia in 2010.

Mahsum Korkmaz
Mahsum Korkmaz, also known as Agit, was the first commander of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK)'s military forces. Korkmaz moved to Lebanon in 1979 and alongside Kemal Pîr was responsible for the recruitment across Turkey. He is known to have led the 15 August 1984 PKK attacks which was the start of the PKK's armed rebellion for Kurdish independence. He was killed by Turkish forces on 28 March 1986.
