Abraham Hirsch was a French architect operating in Lyon at the end of the nineteenth century. In 1871, he became the chief architect of Lyon and helped to design many buildings of the city, including the atrium, large amphitheatre, main courtyard, and reception room of the University of Lyon and many of its faculties. Hirsch assisted with the plans for the Synagogue of Besançon and under his supervision, the largest group of schools in Lyon was constructed.

Guy Chambefort was a member of the National Assembly of France. He represented the first constituency of the Allier department, from 2007 to 2017 and sat as a member of the Socialist, Radical, Citizen and Miscellaneous Left group in the Assembly.

Guillermo León Teillier del Valle is a Chilean politician, educator, and writer who is the current president of the Communist Party of Chile. He was elected to the Chilean Chamber of Deputies for the electorate Nº 28 of Lo Espejo, Pedro Aguirre Cerda and San Miguel for the parliamentary term of 2010–2014.
