John XXI
Pope John XXI, born Peter Juliani, was head of the Catholic Church and ruler of the Papal States from 8 September 1276 to his death. Apart from Damasus I, he has been the only Portuguese pope. He is sometimes identified with the logician and herbalist Peter of Spain, which would make him the only pope to have been a physician.

He was a Roman Catholic recusant and a rebel against the Protestant Queen Elizabeth I.

María de los Angeles Verón is a 23-year-old woman who was kidnapped on April 3, 2002, from her home town in Tucumán Province in the northwest of Argentina. She has still not been found. Evidence suggests that she was kidnapped by human traffickers in order to force her into prostitution, and may have been forcibly transported to either La Rioja Province, Argentina or Spain.
