Sano Masakoto , nicknamed Sano Zenzaeomon (佐野善左衛門) was a Japanese samurai, a hatamoto guard of Edo Castle, who gained his fame by killing the unpopular wakadoshiyori Tanuma Okitomo in March 1784 in the castle.
