İbrahim Gökçek
İbrahim Gökçek was a musician of the Turkish revolutionary band Grup Yorum in which he played the bass guitar. He died on 7 May 2020 after a 323-day hunger strike, which he had ended two days before. He was married to Sultan Gökçek, who is also a member of Grup Yorum and detained in Silivri Prison.
Adam of Bremen
Adam of Bremen was a German medieval chronicler. He lived and worked in the second half of the eleventh century. Adam is most famous for his chronicle Gesta Hammaburgensis ecclesiae pontificum. He was "one of the foremost historians and early ethnographers of the medieval period".
Amos
In the Hebrew Bible and Christian Old Testament, Amos was one of the Twelve Minor Prophets. An older contemporary of Hosea and Isaiah, Amos was active c. 760–755 BCE during the rule of kings Jeroboam II and Uzziah. He was from the southern Kingdom of Judah but preached in the northern Kingdom of Israel. Amos wrote at a time of relative peace and prosperity but also of neglect of God's laws. He spoke against an increased disparity between the very wealthy and the very poor. His major themes of justice, God's omnipotence, and divine judgment became staples of prophecy. The Book of Amos is attributed to him.
