Ana Jacinta de São José, known as Dona Beja was a Brazilian historical personality in the 19th century, who had been known to be influential in the region of Araxá, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The Brazilian Soap Opera Dona Beija, was directed by Herval Rossano in 1986 which was written by Wilson Aguiar Filho and was based on Dona's life events. The opera was produced by Rede Manchete and its musical scores were directed by Wagner Tiso. In 2010, the Spanish remake of the production was produced by Telefutura in 2010.

Decio Carafa (1556–1626) was an Archbishop of Naples who had previously served as papal nuncio to the Spanish Netherlands (1606–1607) and to Habsburg Spain (1607–1611).

Diocles of Peparethus was a historian from the Greek island of Peparethus. His works are lost, but they included histories of Persia and Rome: Quintus Fabius Pictor and Plutarch acknowledge their debts to the latter as a source for their histories of early Rome, its native traditions and ancestral Greek connections. Fabius' work survives only as a brief but historically significant catalogue summary. Plutarch seems to have relied on Fabius' history but acknowledges Diocles as its basis and authority. Diocles' own sources are unknown. He may have had access to Roman sources and traditions on which he foisted Greek interpretations and interpolations. Little else is known of Diocles. He appears to have been a figure of note, well travelled, and abstemious; Athenaeus cites Demetrius of Scepsis to attest that Diocles "drank cold water to the day of his death".

Vlad VI of Wallachia was the voivode [prince] who ruled Wallachia between June 1530 and September 1532. He has been historically referenced as Vlad Înecatul ["Vlad the Drowned"], as a description of the manner of his death.
