Arnold of Selenhofen was the archbishop of Mainz from 1153 to his assassination in the benedictine abbey St. Jakob, where he took shelter from the raging crowd.

Publius Servilius Vatia Isauricus, was a Roman politician and general of the First Century BC. He was elected one of the two consuls for 79 BC. From 78 to 74 BC, as proconsul of Cilicia, he fought against the Cilician Pirates and Isaurian hill tribes in Asia Minor. He was granted the agnomen Isauricus for his victories over the Isaurian hill tribes. Upon returning to Rome he celebrated a triumph for his victories.

Abū Isḥāq Muḥammad ibn al-Wāṯiq, better known by his regnal name al-Muhtadī bi-'llāh, was the Caliph of the Abbasid Caliphate from July 869 to June 870, during the "Anarchy at Samarra".

Íñigo of Oña was the Benedictine abbot of San Salvador at Oña. He was canonised in 1259 by Pope Alexander IV and is venerated in the Roman Catholic Church, where his feast day is 1 June. He is the patron saint of Calatayud, his birthplace. Ignatius of Loyola was named after him.
