Jules-Édouard Prévost was a Laurier Liberal and Liberal party member of the House of Commons of Canada. He was born in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec and became a journalist and publisher.

Kalervo Kummola is the Vice President of the International Ice Hockey Federation. He is a former member of the Parliament of Finland, representing the liberal conservative National Coalition Party from 1999 to 2003.

Veljko Kadijević was a Serbian general of the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA). He was the Minister of Defence in the Yugoslav government from 1988 until his resignation in 1992, which made him de facto commander-in-chief of the JNA during the Ten-Day War in Slovenia and the initial stages of the Croatian War of Independence.

Raymond Jean was a prolific French writer. He published more than 40 books in many genres, and won the Prix Goncourt de la nouvelle in 1983 for his book Un fantasme de Bella B. His novella La lectrice was turned into a hit film by director Michel Deville, starring Miou-Miou.
