Terry Edward Branstad is an American politician, university administrator, and diplomat who served as the United States Ambassador to China from 2017 to 2020. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served as governor of Iowa. Branstad also served three terms in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1973 to 1979.

He was connected to Theatre Echo. He was the older brother of actor and voice actor Rokurō Naya. He was the husband of actress and voice actress Kachiko Hino. He is best known for providing the voice of Inspector Kōichi Zenigata in the Lupin III franchise and for dubbing over the voices of actors Clark Gable, Charlton Heston and John Wayne in the Japanese-language editions of their films. He died on March 5, 2013, at age 83, due to chronic respiratory failure.
