He has occupied numerous roles as a commentator on financial issues for television, most notably for Fox News. He hosted Fox Business Channel's Cashin' In and Fox News Channel's The Five before leaving that show to co-host Fox News Specialists in May 2017. An outspoken supporter of Donald Trump, Bolling has published two books: Wake Up America (2016) and The Swamp: Washington's Murky Pool of Corruption and Cronyism and How Trump Can Drain It (2017).

He is the fifth youngest to become a professional Go player in South Korean history behind Cho Hun-hyun, Lee Chang-ho, Cho Hye-yeon and Choi Cheol-han. His nickname is "The Strong Stone" ("Ssen-dol"). In March 2016 he played a notable series of matches against AlphaGo that ended in 1-4.
