Under the stage name Marie N, she sings a broad range of music ranging from pop to musical theatre and jazz, and has recorded several albums, with songs in Latvian, French, English, Russian and Portuguese. In 2002, she won the Eurovision Song Contest for Latvia with her song "I Wanna".

Alan Haselhurst
Alan Gordon Barraclough Haselhurst, Baron Haselhurst, is a British Conservative politician who served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Saffron Walden from 1977 to 2017, having previously represented Middleton and Prestwich from 1970 to 1974. Haselhurst was Chairman of Ways and Means from 14 May 1997 to 8 June 2010, and later Chairman of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association between 2011 and 2014. He was the oldest Conservative MP during his last Parliament, and stood down at the 2017 general election. In May 2018, he was appointed as a life peer, and currently sits in the House of Lords as Baron Haselhurst.

He is also known for his work with Peter Simons and Barry Smith on metaphysics and the history of Austrian philosophy.

Sara Lisa Sofia Persson is a Swedish badminton player. Persson won the women's singles title at the Swedish National Championships in 2002 representing Täby Badmintonförening, and repeating it consecutively from 2005-2008. She competed at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, but defeated in the first round to Petya Nedelcheva of Bulgaria with the score 10–21, 10–21. Her sister, Johanna Persson, is also an Olympian who competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece.
