Amadeo Bordiga was an Italian Marxist, a contributor to communist theory, the founder of the Communist Party of Italy (PCd'I), a member of the Communist International (Comintern) and later a leading figure of the International Communist Party. Bordiga was originally associated with the PCd'I, but he was expelled in 1930 after being accused of Trotskyism.

Attila Cornelius Zoller was a jazz guitarist born in Hungary. After World War II, he escaped the Soviet takeover of Hungary by fleeing through the mountains on foot into Austria. In 1959, he moved to the U.S., where he spent the rest of his life as a musician and teacher.

Tamara Ivanovna Tikhonova is a former Soviet Russian cross-country skier who competed from 1984 to 1992. She represented the Soviet Union at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, where she won three medals with golds in the 20 km freestyle and the 4 × 5 km relay, and a silver in the 5 km classical.

Pieter Ghyllebert is a Belgian road bicycle racer who last rode professionally for UCI Continental team An Post–Chain Reaction.

Désiré "Dis" Keteleer was a Belgian professional road bicycle racer. Keteleer was born in Anderlecht and was professional from 1942 until 1961, winning the inaugural Tour of Romandie in 1947 and La Flèche Wallonne in 1946. He rode in the 1949 Tour de France, winning stage 15. Keteleer died in Rebecq-Rognon.
