Sir Oliver Mowat, was a Canadian lawyer, politician, and Liberal Party leader. He served for nearly 24 years as the third Premier of Ontario. He was the eighth Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and one of the Fathers of Confederation. He is best known for defending successfully the constitutional rights of the provinces in the face of the centralizing tendency of the national government as represented by his longtime conservative adversary, John A. Macdonald. This longevity and power was due to his political maneuvering, in terms of building a political base around Liberals, Catholics, trade unions, and anti-French-Canadian sentiment.

Rosaria Yusfin Pungkasari is an Indonesian badminton player from the Djarum club. She was part of the Indonesian junior team that played at the 2005 Asian Junior Championships, clinched the girls' team bronze medal after defeated by the Chinese team in the semifinal. Pungkasari has collected four Sircuit National titles from 2007-2012, and at the National Championships, she once a semifinalist in 2011. Pungkasari was the runner-up in Grand Prix tournament at the 2008 Bulgaria Open defeated by Petya Nedelcheva in the final. She won her first international title at the 2010 Indonesia International Challenge tournament.

James Edgar is an American politician who was the 38th Governor of Illinois from 1991 to 1999. Previously he served as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives from 1976 to 1979 and as Illinois Secretary of State from 1981 to 1991. Though still popular, he surprised many by retiring from elected office after his second term as governor, claiming that heart problems he had while governor were not a factor in his decision.
