James Edward Banks is an American military veteran and politician who is the U.S. Representative for Indiana's 3rd congressional district. A Republican, he previously served as a member of the Indiana Senate. Banks was first elected to serve in the state senate for the 17th district in 2010, and upon military deployment to Afghanistan, he took a leave of absence from the state senate in September, 2014. Invoking an Indiana state law which allows state and local officeholders to take leaves of absence during active duty military service, Banks was temporarily replaced by his wife, Amanda Banks, who held the office for the senate's 2015 legislative session. He returned to Indiana from overseas duty on April 14, 2015 and resumed his duties as state senator on May 8, 2015. On May 3, 2016 he won the primary election for the Republican nomination for Indiana's 3rd congressional district.

Kanae Yagi is a Japanese weightlifter. She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Women's 53 kg, finishing 13th. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, in the same weight category, she finished top of Group B and 6th overall.

Katherine Dinah "Goldie" Sayers, is a former British javelin thrower. She was born in Newmarket, Suffolk, United Kingdom. On 20 May 2007, Sayers set a new British record in the javelin at 65.05 m, thus becoming the first British woman to throw over 65 metres since javelins were redesigned in 1999. Sayers set the record when competing for her university, Loughborough, at the Loughborough International match. She cemented this achievement at the Norwich Union Glasgow Grand Prix on 3 June 2007 where she beat a top-class international field in rainy conditions with a throw of 63.59 m. Defeated rivals included European champion and Olympic silver medallist Steffi Nerius and world champion Barbora Špotáková.

He was previously appointed by Texas Governor Rick Perry to serve as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Texas on August 24, 2005, when former Justice Priscilla Owen created a vacancy on that court by joining the Fifth Circuit.

Yasmani Acosta Fernández is a Cuban-born naturalized Chilean Greco-Roman wrestler who currently competes at 130 kilograms. Acosta qualified Chile for the 2020 Summer Olympics by winning the gold medal from the 2020 Pan American Olympic Qualification Tournament. Competing for Chile since 2017, he has claimed the 2018 South American Games gold medal, prestigious bronze medals from the 2017 World Championships and the 2019 Pan American Games and has also become a two–time Pan American Continental Championship medalist, earning silver in 2017 and bronze in 2018. Competing for his native Cuba, Acosta most notoriously became the 2011 Pan American champion.
