Michael James Duff FRS, FRSA is a British theoretical physicist and pioneering theorist of supergravity who is the Principal of the Faculty of Physical Sciences and Abdus Salam Chair of Theoretical Physics at Imperial College London.

John McCreary Fabian is a former NASA astronaut and Air Force officer who flew two Space Shuttle missions and worked on the development of the Shuttle's robotic arm. He later led the Air Force's space operations.

Albert Jean-Marie Rouet was the Bishop of Poitiers since 1994 and archbishop of the same episcopal see since 2002. According to the Vatican Information Service (VIS), he resigned for reasons of age on Saturday, February 12, 2011, having reached the age limit of 75 at which all bishops are invited to submit their letter of resignation to the Pope.

Yūko Mochizuki was a Japanese film and theatre actress who already had long stage experience, first with light comedies, later with dramatic roles, before making her film debut. Mochizuki often appeared in the films of Keisuke Kinoshita, but also worked for prominent directors such as Yasujirō Ozu and Mikio Naruse. She won the Blue Ribbon Award for best supporting actress for Late Chrysanthemums and for best actress for The Rice People and Unagitori. She was also awarded best actress at the 1953 Mainichi Film Awards for her work on A Japanese Tragedy. In 1971, she ran for the House of Councilors election for the Japan Socialist Party. She died of breast cancer in 1977.
