Carlo Molfetta is a taekwondo athlete from Italy, who won gold at the 2012 London Olympics in the men's +80 kg division, beating Gabon's Anthony Obame. Molfetta was determined to be the victor after the bout concluded in a 9-9 tie, with the judges ruling that Molfetta had won based upon superiority.

Peter Kretschmer is a German sprint canoer. He won the Gold Medal in the 2012 Summer Olympics in C-2 1000 metres category event for his country with Kurt Kuschela. In June 2015, he competed in the inaugural European Games, for Germany in canoe sprint, more specifically, Men's C-2 1000m with Michael Mueller. He earned a bronze medal.

Carter Henry Harrison Sr. was an American politician who served as mayor of Chicago, Illinois, from 1879 until 1887; he was subsequently elected to a fifth term in 1893 but was assassinated before completing the term. He previously served two terms in the United States House of Representatives. Harrison was the first cousin twice removed of President William Henry Harrison.
