Sir Horace George Montagu Rumbold, 9th Baronet, was a British diplomat. A well-travelled man who learned Arabic, Japanese and German, he is best remembered for his role as British Ambassador to Berlin from 1928 to 1933, in which he warned of the ambitions of Hitler and Nazi Germany.

Douglas Martin Hogg, 3rd Viscount Hailsham, Baron Hailsham of Kettlethorpe is a British politician and barrister. A member of the Conservative Party he served in the Cabinet as Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food from 1995 to 1997, and was a Member of Parliament (MP) from 1979 to 2010.

Pierre-Christian Taittinger was a French politician, mayor of the 16th arrondissement of Paris between 1989 and 2008 and Senator for Paris between 1977 and 1995. After studying law he became a lawyer in 1947 and was elected as a municipal councillor for Paris in 1953 and remained so until his death in 2009.
