He is the founder of the Brazilian Labour Renewal Party (PRTB) and ran for president of Brazil in the elections of 2010 and 2014. He is particularly known in Brazil for his promise of building a bullet train system connecting São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro and for his controversial declarations about homosexuals during a political debate in 2014. He has run for several political posts but to date has never won one.

Shigeru Kitamura is current Participate of Cabinet Secretariat, National Security Secretariat Secretary General in Japan under Shinzo Abe and a former head of the Cabinet Intelligence and Research Office, a Japanese intelligence agency.

José Pérez Francés is a Spanish former professional road racing cyclist. He finished four times on the podium of Vuelta a España and won three stages, although he never won the overall classification. He also finished third in 1963 Tour de France, after Jacques Anquetil and Federico Bahamontes, and won a stage in 1965.

Kevin Jermaine Ollie is an American former basketball coach and player. He is the former head coach of the University of Connecticut men's basketball team. Ollie graduated from Connecticut in 1995 with a degree in Communications. He played for twelve National Basketball Association franchises, most prominently in three stints with the Philadelphia 76ers, in thirteen seasons from 1997 to 2010 after beginning his career with the CBA in 1995.

In the predawn hours of August 23, 2009, Toni Sharpless and her friend Crystal Johns left a party at the home of Philadelphia 76er Willie Green in Penn Valley, Pennsylvania, United States. Not long after leaving, Johns suggested to Sharpless, whose erratic and combative behavior had led Green to ask that they leave, that she was not sober enough to drive; in response, Sharpless pulled over and told Johns to get out, which she did. Sharpless has not been seen since then.
