Constantin Marie Le Paige was a Belgian mathematician.

André-Joseph Léonard is a Belgian prelate who served as the Archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels and Primate of Belgium after his installation on 27 February 2010. He had previously served as Bishop of Namur from 1991 until 2010 under the name André-Mutien Léonard. Pope Francis accepted his resignation on 1 June 2015.

Paul Ledoux was a Belgian astrophysicist, best known for his work on stellar stability and variability. With Theodore Walraven, he co-authored one of the seminal works on stellar oscillations. In 1964 Paul Ledoux was awarded the Francqui Prize for Exact Sciences. He was awarded the Eddington Medal of the Royal Astronomical Society in 1972 for investigations into problems of stellar stability and variable stars. He was awarded the Janssen Medal of the French Academy of Sciences in 1976.

César-Mansuète Despretz was a chemist and physicist. He became a French citizen in 1838. A street is named after him in Lessines.
