Princess Phương Mai, Duchess of Addis Abeba was a daughter of Emperor Bảo Đại of Vietnam and his first wife, Empress Nam Phương. In 1947, Nam Phương left Vietnam with her children and lived at the Château Thorens, outside of Cannes, France. Phương Mai received her education in France and returned to Vietnam from 1949 to 1953. She was educated at Convent des Oiseaux in Verneuil sur Seine, France.

Dustin Nguyen is an Vietnamese-American actor, director, writer, and martial artist. He is best known for his roles as Harry Truman Ioki on 21 Jump Street, and as Johnny Loh on VIP In films, he is known for starring in Little Fish, The Doom Generation and The Rebel.

Emperor Duy Tân, born Nguyễn Phúc Vĩnh San, was an emperor of the Nguyễn Dynasty who reigned for 9 years between 1907 and 1916.

Cung Le is a Vietnamese-born American actor, retired mixed martial artist, Sanshou fighter and kickboxer. He competed as a middleweight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), holding a record of 2–2 with the organization. In kickboxing and sanshou, he is a former International Kickboxing Federation Light Heavyweight World Champion, having a professional kickboxing record of 17–0 before moving to mixed martial arts. He defeated Frank Shamrock to become the second Strikeforce Middleweight Champion before vacating the title to further pursue his acting career. Le is perhaps best known in mixed martial arts for competing in Strikeforce, holding a record of 7–1 with the organization before its demise.

Stéphanie Do is a French politician and a member of La République En Marche!. She was elected to the French National Assembly on 18 June 2017, representing the 10th constituency of department of Seine-et-Marne, under the investiture of La République En Marche. Do holds a position in the Bureau of the National Assembly of the 15th legislature of the French Fifth Republic as a secretary.

Empress Nam Phương, born Marie-Thérèse Nguyễn Hữu Thị Lan, was the first and primary wife of Bảo Đại, the last emperor of Vietnam, from 1934 until her death. She was also the second and last empress consort of the Nguyễn dynasty.

Hieu Van Le, is the 35th and current Governor of South Australia, in office since 1 September 2014. He served as the state's lieutenant-governor from 2007 to 2014. He also served as chair of the South Australian Multicultural and Ethnic Affairs Commission (SAMEAC) from 2006 to 2009. Le is the first person of Asian heritage to be appointed a state governor in Australia.

Tony Bui is a Vietnamese-born American independent film director in the U.S., most famous for his 1999 film Three Seasons, which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival and became the first film to win both an Audience Award and a Grand Jury Prize. The film was based on Bui's own experiences dealing with the changing landscape and people of his ancestral home of Vietnam. The film starred Harvey Keitel.

Tiana Alexandra-Silliphant is a Vietnamese-American actress and filmmaker. Her indie movie From Hollywood to Hanoi was the first American documentary feature film shot in Vietnam by a Vietnamese-American. Tiana's life's work, Why Viet Nam? is about her personal story as a child of war and a widow of peace.

Joseph (Giuse) Nguyễn Chí Linh is a Vietnamese prelate of the Catholic Church who has been a bishop since 2004 and the Archbishop of Huế since 2016.
