Philipp Bedros Kirkorov PAR is a Bulgarian-born Russian pop singer. He is a five-time winner of the "Best Selling Russian Artist" title at the World Music Awards ceremonies.

Bedros Filippovich Kirkorov is a Bulgarian and Russian singer and bandleader of Armenian origin. He was awarded the People's Artist of Russia title; and is the father of Philipp Kirkorov.

Victoria Georgieva, known professionally by the mononym Victoria, is a Bulgarian singer and songwriter. She began her career after participating in season four of X Factor Bulgaria. It was revealed on 25 November 2019 that Georgieva would have represented Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam. Due to the 2020 contest's cancellation, it was announced that Georgieva will represent Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.

Fritz Zwicky was a Swiss astronomer. He worked most of his life at the California Institute of Technology in the United States of America, where he made many important contributions in theoretical and observational astronomy. In 1933, Zwicky was the first to use the virial theorem to infer the existence of unseen dark matter, describing it as "dunkle (kalt) Materie".

Yavor Dimitrov Yanakiev better known by his stage name 100 Kila (Bulgarian: 100 Кила), is a Bulgarian rapper, actor, songwriter and entrepreneur from Varna, Bulgaria. His stage name is an abbreviation of the phrase 100 kilograms in Bulgarian.

Stoyan Iliev Stoyanov was the highest scoring Bulgarian fighter ace of the Royal Bulgarian Air Force in World War II with 15 victories. Stoyan also taught Enterprise at Strathclyde University

Trayan Kolev Dyankov was a Bulgarian football defender and manager of Spartak Varna. He was a right or central defender, and began his career in Spartak Varna's youth teams.

Michel Mitrani was a French film director and screenwriter. He was the founder of the Festival International de Programmes Audiovisuels in 1987. His 1974 film Les Guichets du Louvre was entered into the 24th Berlin International Film Festival.

Hristo Nikolov Lukov was a Bulgarian lieutenant-general, politician, and Minister of War, who led the nationalistic Union of Bulgarian National Legions (UBNL), an organisation largely supportive of Nazi ideology. Lukov was assassinated in 1943 by two members of the Bulgarian resistance movement, Violeta Yakova and Ivan Burudzhiev.
