Maria Mandl was an Austrian SS-Helferin known for her role in the Holocaust as a top-ranking official at the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp where she is believed to have been directly complicit in the deaths of over 500,000 female prisoners. She was executed for war crimes.

Franz Schausberger is an Austrian politician (ÖVP) and historian. From 24 April 1996 to 28 April 2004 he was Landeshauptmann (governor) of Salzburg.

Alexander Pointner is the former head coach of Austria ski jumping team.

Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner is an Austrian mountaineer. In August 2011, she became the second woman to climb the fourteen eight-thousanders and the first woman to do so without the use of supplementary oxygen or high altitude porters. In 2012, she won the prestigious National Geographic Explorer of the Year Award.

Klaus Eberhartinger is an Austrian singer and television presenter.

Willibald "Willi" Ruttensteiner is an Austrian businessman and football administrator and manager who currently serves as head coach of the Israel national team as well as the head of the youth development program "Project12". Following the resignation of Dietmar Constantini in September 2011, Ruttensteiner was acting trainer of the Austria national football team for two games. In the two games he managed a win and a tie. He was also responsible for the signing of national coach Marcel Koller, who was controversial in the beginning and later very successful.

Thomas Stelzer is an Austrian politician who is serving as the current Governor of Upper Austria since 2017. Stelzer studied law at the Johannes Kepler University Linz from 1985 to 1990. Before becoming Governor, Stelzer was the Deputy Governor of Upper Austria from 2015 to 2017. He was a member of the Upper Austrian Parliament from 1997 to 2015.

Andreas "Andi" Goldberger is an Austrian former ski jumper. He became the first man in history to jump over 200 metres in 1994, although he didn't manage to stand.

Franz Jägerstätter was an Austrian conscientious objector during World War II. Jägerstätter was sentenced to death and executed for his refusal to fight for Nazi Germany. He was later declared a martyr and beatified by the Catholic Church.
