Jesse David Chavez is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball (MLB). Chavez was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 42nd round of the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft. He previously played in MLB for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Atlanta Braves, Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Angels, Texas Rangers, and Chicago Cubs.

She was held in custody, and there was speculation before trial that her family's resources would enable her to avoid time in prison.
