Charles Rivers Ellet was a colonel in the Union Army during the American Civil War. He served in the United States Ram Fleet under his father Charles Ellet, Jr. and as commanding officer of the ram fleet as part of the Mississippi Marine Brigade under his uncle Alfred W. Ellet. He commanded the ram ships USS Queen of the West, USS Switzerland, USS Lancaster and USS Monarch during the brown-water navy battle for control of the Mississippi River and its tributaries as part of the Vicksburg Campaign from 1862 to 1863.

Josiah "Jesse" Camp is a musician and television personality who was the winner of the first Wanna Be a VJ contest on MTV.

Nicholas Evan Berg was an American freelance radio-tower repairman who went to Iraq after the United States' invasion of Iraq. He was abducted and beheaded according to a video released in May 2004 by Islamist militants in response to the Abu Ghraib torture and prisoner abuse involving the United States Army and Iraqi prisoners. The CIA claimed Berg was murdered by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. The decapitation video was released on the internet, reportedly from London to a Malaysian-hosted homepage by the Islamist organization Muntada al-Ansar.

James Edward Vesey, Jr. is an American professional ice hockey left winger currently playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has previously played for the New York Rangers and Buffalo Sabres. He was selected by the Nashville Predators in the third round, 66th overall, of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. Vesey won the Hobey Baker Award in 2016.

Jani Lane was an American recording artist and the lead vocalist, frontman, lyricist and main songwriter for the glam metal band Warrant. He described pop art as "not 'American' painting but actually industrial painting". His paintings were exhibited at the Leo Castelli Gallery in New York City.

Linda Porter was an American actress. She appeared in numerous feature films, television programs, advertisements and music videos—most prominently in the series Superstore and Twin Peaks and the film Dude, Where's My Car?. She died of cancer on September 25, 2019.
