Yuliia Dzhima is a Ukrainian World Cup level biathlete. She is Olympic champion in women's relay, multiple World championships medalist. She is one of the most successful Ukrainian biathletes of 2010's.

Ihor Ivanovych Umansky is a Ukrainian economist and civil servant. On 4 March 2020, he was appointed as the Minister of Finance of Ukraine. He was dismissed on 30 March 2020. Umansky claims he never received a formal reason for his dismissal and that he first heard of it through news reports.

Ihor Lvovych Rainin or Raynin is a Ukrainian politician. From February 2015 until August 2016 he was governor of Kharkiv Oblast. On 29 Aug 2016 he was promoted to head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine. Under a presidential decrees signed on 21 May 2019 he was dismissed by new President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Boris Gorbatov (1908–1954) was a Soviet Russian novelist. Born in the Donbass region in the Ukraine, he moved to Moscow at the age of 18 and joined the Communist Party in 1930. He was a military correspondent during World War Two.
