Daniela Anschütz-Thoms is a German former speed skater. At the 2006 Winter Olympics, she won a gold medal in the women's team pursuit with the German team, and four years later she defended the title in Vancouver. She is married to former speed skater Marian Thoms since December 2005.

Michael Kellner is a German politician who has been serving as a Member of the Bundestag representing electoral constituency Uckermark – Barnim I since 2021.

Johann Friedrich Theodor Müller, better known as Fritz Müller, and also as Müller-Desterro, was a German biologist who emigrated to southern Brazil, where he lived in and near the German community of Blumenau, Santa Catarina. There he studied the natural history of the Atlantic forest south of São Paulo, and was an early advocate of Darwinism. He lived in Brazil for the rest of his life. Müllerian mimicry is named after him.
