Alexander Sergeevich Misharin is the former governor of Sverdlovsk Oblast, a region in Russia. He was appointed in 2009 after resignation of the previous governor, Eduard Rossel and resigned on May 14, 2012. Prior to his governorship, he made a career in the railway industry, rising to Russia's Deputy Railway Minister. He was appointed first vice-president of Russian Railways and head of Skorostniye Magistrali, the Russian high-speed rail developer and operator on November 28, 2012.

Sir Konstantin Sergeevich Novoselov is a Russian-British physicist, and a Professor at the Centre for Advanced 2D Materials, National University of Singapore. He is also the Langworthy Professor in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Manchester. His work on graphene with Andre Geim earned them the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2010.

Rostislav Sinicyn is an ice dancer who competed for the Soviet Union. With his wife Natalia Karamyševa (Karamysheva), Sinicyn is the 1978 and 1980 Soviet national champion. Following his retirement from competitive skating, he works as a coach and choreographer and was naturalized as a Czech citizen.

Ivan Andreyevich Sozonov is a Russian badminton player. He competed for Russia at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. His current partner is Vladimir Ivanov. The duo's victories at the 2014 European Championships and 2016 All England Open rendered them as the first Russians to win the men's doubles in each of those tournaments.

Ekaterina Vadimovna Pankova, from 2013 to 2016 Kosianenko, is a Russian female volleyball player, who plays as an setter. She is a member of the Russia women's national volleyball team and plays for Dynamo Moscow at club level.

Marina Nikolayevna Pestova, married surname: Akbarov, is a former pair skater who competed for the Soviet Union. With her skating partner, Stanislav Leonovich, she became a two-time World medalist, a two-time European medalist, and a three-time Soviet national champion. The pair competed at the 1980 Winter Olympics, placing fourth.
