Darko Milanič is a Slovenian professional football manager and former player who is the head coach of Slovak club Slovan Bratislava.

Grega Bole is a Slovenian professional road bicycle racer, who most recently rode for UCI WorldTeam Bahrain–McLaren. His biggest victory is the 2011 GP Ouest–France, where he launched a solo attack with 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) to go. He held on as the field was closing in rapidly, with only Simon Gerrans who was second on the day being awarded the same time as Bole. In 2015, Bole was the victor of the first stage of the inaugural Tour of Croatia after negotiating a series of bends where two crashes occurred.

Archbishop Marin Srakić is a Croatian Roman Catholic prelate who served as an auxiliary bishop of Đakovo or Bosna and Srijem and Titular Bishop of Cercina (1990–1996), and after that, as a Coadjutor Bishop (1996–1997), a Diocesan Bishop (1997–2008) and the first Archbishop of Đakovo-Osijek since 2008 until his retirement in 2013.

Andraž Šporar is a Slovenian professional footballer who plays for Braga, on loan from Sporting CP, and the Slovenia national team as a forward.

Franc Rode is a Slovenian Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He is the prefect emeritus of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, having served as prefect from 2004 to 2011. He was elevated to the cardinalate in 2006.

Alenka Bratušek is a Slovenian politician. She was prime minister of Slovenia from March 2013 until May 2014, the first woman in Slovenia to hold this position. She was president pro tempore of the Positive Slovenia party from January 2013 until April 2014. On 5 May 2014, Bratušek submitted her resignation as prime minister.

Bishop Stanislav Lipovšek is a Slovenian Roman Catholic prelate who served as the second Bishop of the Diocese of Celje from 15 March 2010 until his retirement on 18 September 2018. Also he was an Apostolic Administrator during the vacancy of the Archdiocese of Maribor since 31 July 2013 until 26 April 2015.

Rebeka Dremelj is a Slovene singer, model, fashion designer, actress, and TV Host. She was chosen to represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade, Serbia with the song "Vrag naj vzame".
