Ivan Gašparovič is a Slovak politician and lawyer who was President of Slovakia from 2004 to 2014. He was also the first and currently the only Slovak president to be re-elected.

Johann Sigismund Kusser or Cousser was a composer born in the Kingdom of Hungary who was active in Germany, France, and Ireland.

Philipp Eduard Anton von Lenard was a Austro-Hungarian physicist and the winner of the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1905 for his work on cathode rays and the discovery of many of their properties. One of his most important contributions was the experimental realization of the photoelectric effect. He discovered that the energy (speed) of the electrons ejected from a cathode depends only on the wavelength, and not the intensity of, the incident light.

Leopold Karl von Kollonitsch, also spelt Collonicz, Colonitz, Kollonitz, Kolonits, and Kolonić, and called in Hungarian Kollonich Lipót, was a cardinal of the Holy Roman Church, Archbishop of Kalocsa and later of Gran, or Esztergom, and Primate of Hungary. Also a count of the Holy Roman Empire, he was a leading figure of the Hungarian Counter-reformation.

Count Lajos Batthyány de Németújvár was the first Prime Minister of Hungary. He was born in Pozsony on 10 February 1807, and was executed by firing squad in Pest on 6 October 1849, the same day as the 13 Martyrs of Arad.
