Hironoshin Furuhashi
Hironoshin Furuhashi was a Japanese Olympic freestyle swimmer. In 1948, he set world records in the 400 and 1,500 meter freestyles at the Japan national championships. Furuhashi and Japan were not allowed to compete at the 1948 Summer Olympics because of Japan's role in World War II.
Kosuke Kato
Kosuke Kato is a former Japanese professional baseball pitcher. He was drafted 2nd in the 2000 Nippon Professional Baseball draft and spent 15 years in the league with the Chiba Lotte Marines, Orix Buffaloes, Yokohama BayStars and Hanshin Tigers. He has signed with the Fukushima Hopes of the Baseball Challenge League as a player/coach for the 2016 season.
Mizuki Kawashita
Mizuki Kawashita is a Japanese manga artist, best known for her romantic comedy Strawberry 100% which was published by Shueisha in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 2002 to 2005 and would later receive a television anime and OVA adaptation. During the early part of her career, she wrote and illustrated under the pen name Mikan Momokuri . Her first public work was a dōjinshi called Innocent in 1993. Another series, First Love Limited, was adapted into a 12-episode anime television series and aired in 2009. Other works include Lilim Kiss, Akane-chan overdrive and Anedoki.
Sachiko Sugiyama
Sachiko Sugiyama is a volleyball player from Japan, who competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, wearing the number #12 jersey. There she ended up in fifth place with the Japan women's national team. Sugiyama played as a middle-blocker.
Shun Nagasawa
Shun Nagasawa is a Japanese professional football player currently playing for J1 League team Oita Trinita. After working his way through the S-Pulse youth system, he signed full professional terms in 2007. He spent loan spells at J. League 2 sides Roasso Kumamoto, Kyoto Sanga and Matsumoto Yamaga before signing with Gamba Osaka in July 2015.

Hideji Katō is a Japanese former professional baseball first baseman in Nippon Professional Baseball. He played for the Hankyu Braves from 1969 to 1982, Hiroshima Toyo Carp in 1983, Kintetsu Buffaloes from 1984 to 1985, Yomiuri Giants in 1986 and the Nankai Hawks in 1987. He was the Pacific League MVP in 1975.
Hiroshi Amano
Hiroshi Amano is a Japanese physicist, engineer and inventor specializing in the field of semiconductor technology. For his work he was awarded the 2014 Nobel Prize in Physics together with Isamu Akasaki and Shuji Nakamura for "the invention of efficient blue light-emitting diodes which has enabled bright and energy-saving white light sources".
Midorifuji Kazunari
Midorifuji Kazunari is a Japanese professional sumo wrestler from Shizuoka Prefecture. He is a graduate of Kindai University. He debuted in sumo wrestling in September 2016 and made his makuuchi debut in January 2021. His highest rank has been maegashira 14. He wrestles for Isegahama stable. He is the fifth top division wrestler from Shizuoka Prefecture since World War II and the first since Sagatsukasa in 2010. Ahead of his debut he said he hoped to emulate fellow small wrestlers Enhō and Terutsuyoshi.
