Sharon Rooney is a Scottish actress. She is known for her roles as Rae Earl in My Mad Fat Diary, Sophie in Two Doors Down, Dawn in Brief Encounters, and Miss Atlantis in the 2019 remake of Dumbo.
Paul Brannigan
Paul Brannigan is a Scottish actor best known for his roles as Gareth O'Connor in Scottish soap opera River City and as Robbie in the film The Angels' Share (2012). Brannigan also appeared in the 2013 movie Under the Skin.
Fred Talbot
Frederick Wilson Talbot is a Scottish former television presenter. He spent much of his career in North West England. In February 2015, and again in May 2017, he was found guilty of a string of indecent sexual assaults against teenage boys whilst he was employed as a teacher at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys before he moved into television presenting. He was sentenced to five years in prison following his initial convictions. He was sentenced to a further four years in June 2017 following conviction for further indecent assaults committed in Scotland. He was released on licence in December 2019.
Lou Macari
Luigi "Lou" Macari is a Scottish former footballer and manager. He began his playing career at Celtic where he was one of the Quality Street Gang, the outstanding reserve team that emerged in the late 1960s that also included Kenny Dalglish and Danny McGrain. He is best known for his time at Manchester United, where he played over 400 games. He helped them win promotion back to the First Division and then played in their FA Cup win of 1977. He then finished his playing career at Swindon Town.
Kenny MacAskill
Kenneth Wright MacAskill is a Scottish politician who has been Member of Parliament (MP) for East Lothian since 2019. He served as Cabinet Secretary for Justice from 2007 to 2014. He was Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the Edinburgh Eastern, formerly Edinburgh East and Musselburgh, constituency from 2007 to 2016. A former member of the Scottish National Party (SNP), he previously represented the Lothians region from 1999 to 2007. On 27 March 2021, MacAskill defected from the SNP to the Alba Party.
Neil Fachie
Neil Fachie MBE is a Scottish Paralympic multiple sports athlete competing in events for individuals with a visual impairment. Fachie has entered two Paralympics, as a sprinter in the 2008 Games in Beijing and as a tandem cyclist in London 2012. In London he won the gold medal in the Men's individual 1 km time trial and silver in the individual sprint, both with Barney Storey as his sighted pilot.
Gavin Strachan
Gavin David Strachan is a Scottish former professional footballer, current coach and sports journalist, who is currently first team coach at Scottish Premiership club Celtic. He is the son of manager and former player Gordon Strachan, and he was assistant manager at Doncaster Rovers from 2015 to 2018.
Elizabeth Sinclair
Elizabeth McHutcheson Sinclair was a Scottish homemaker, farmer, and plantation owner in New Zealand and Hawaii, best known as the matriarch of the Sinclair family that bought the Hawaiian island of Niʻihau in 1864. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she married Francis Sinclair, a ship's captain. With six children in tow, the family moved to New Zealand. Her husband and eldest son were later lost at sea.
