Nikolai Voznesensky
Nikolai Alekseevich Voznesensky was as a prominent Soviet politician and economic planner who oversaw the running of Gosplan during the German-Soviet War. A protégé of Andrei Zhdanov, Voznesensky was appointed Deputy Premier in May 1940 at the age of thirty-eight. He was directly involved in the recovery of production associated with the movement of industry eastwards at the start of the war. His work The Economy of the USSR during World War II is his account of these years.
Pavel Vinogradov
Pavel Vladimirovich Vinogradov is a cosmonaut and former commander of the International Space Station. As of May 2013, he has flown into space three times, aboard Mir and the International Space Station, and is one of the top 10 astronauts in terms of total time in space. Vinogradov has also conducted seven spacewalks in his cosmonaut career, and holds the record for the oldest person to perform a spacewalk.
Vladimir Titov
Vladimir Georgiyevich Titov is a retired Russian Air Force Colonel and former cosmonaut. He has participated in four spaceflight missions. The catastrophic explosion of a Soyuz rocket in 1983 led to him being one of only four people to use a launch escape system. He is married to Alexandra Kozlova, they have two children.
Lev Petrovich Pitaevskii
Lev Petrovich Pitaevskii is a Russian theoretical physicist, who made contributions to the theory of quantum mechanics, electrodynamics, low-temperature physics, plasma physics, and condensed matter physics. Together with Evgeny Lifshitz and Vladimir Berestetskii, Lev Pitaevskii has also been the co-author of a few volumes of the influential Landau–Lifschitz Course of Theoretical Physics series. His academic status is professor.

Yakov Sinai
Yakov Grigorevich Sinai is a Russian mathematician known for his work on dynamical systems. He contributed to the modern metric theory of dynamical systems and connected the world of deterministic (dynamical) systems with the world of probabilistic (stochastic) systems. He has also worked on mathematical physics and probability theory. His efforts have provided the groundwork for advances in the physical sciences.

Elena Lashmanova
Elena Anatolyevna Lashmanova is a Russian race walker. She was the 2012 Olympic Champion in the 20 km walk. She received a two-year ban for a doping violation along with a similar penalty for the majority of her training partners shortly thereafter. Her Olympic gold was not affected, though. It is claimed by Russian whistleblower Rodchenkov that her positive sample was in fact one from her 2012 olympics mistakenly substituted for a further positive test result by the state run doping programme. He claims that she had at least 2 positive findings that went unreported and that this one was reported only because it was witnessed by non Russian experts.
