Friedrich Leopold Goltz was a German physiologist and nephew of the writer Bogumil Goltz.

Caspar Neumann was a German professor and clergyman from Breslau with a special scientific interest in mortality rates.

Emanuel Mendel was a German neurologist and psychiatrist who was a university professor and director of a polyclinic in Berlin. He was born in Bunzlau, Lower Silesia; into a Jewish family.

Lazare Meerson (1900–1938) was a Russian-born cinema art director. After emigrating to France in the early 1920s, he worked on some notable French films of the late silent cinema and the early 1930s, particularly those of René Clair and Jacques Feyder. He worked in England during the last two years of his life. He had great influence on film set design in France in the years before World War II.

Rabbi Yechiel Yaakov Weinberg (1884–1966) was a noted Orthodox rabbi, posek and rosh yeshiva. He is best known as the author of the work of responsa Seridei Eish.

Salman Schocken or Shlomo Zalman Schocken was a German Jewish publisher, and co-founder of the large Kaufhaus Schocken chain of department stores in Germany. Stripped of his citizenship and forced to sell his company by the German government, he immigrated to Mandatory Palestine in 1934, where he purchased the newspaper Haaretz. In 1940, Schocken moved to the United States, where he founded Schocken Books.

Carl Gottlieb Ehler is considered a mathematician, specifically due to his post as an astronomer in Berlin. He was mayor of the Prussian capital of Danzig from March 1741 until his death.

Margarethe Siems was a German operatic coloratura soprano and voice teacher. A Kammersängerin of the Dresden State Opera, between 1909 and 1912 Siems created leading roles in three operas by Richard Strauss: Chrysothemis in Elektra, the Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier, and Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos.
