Sun Mingming is a former Chinese professional basketball player and actor. He is the tallest professional basketball player in the world, and was measured by the Guinness World Records as 7 ft 9 in (2.36 m) tall.

Lu Muzhen was the first wife of Chinese revolutionary Sun Yat-sen.

Yan Huiqing (Wade–Giles: Yen Hui-Ch'ing, 顏惠慶 was a Chinese politician who served as Premier and later President of the Republic of China in the 1920s. He was also an accomplished linguist.

Chen Mingshu was a Chinese general and politician. A Hakka from Hepu, Guangxi, he graduated from Baoding Military Academy and participated in the Northern Expedition. He was briefly premier after Chiang Kai-shek stepped down in December 1931. He took part in the Battle of Shanghai (1932), defending the city against the Japanese Empire.

Lin Li is a Chinese female volleyball player. She was part of the China women's national volleyball team that won the gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics. At club level, she has played for Fujian Xi Meng Bao. Lin won the 2016 World Grand Prix Best Libero award.

Liu Shiying is a Chinese athlete who competes in the javelin throw. She is the first Asian athlete to win an Olympic gold medal in women's javelin throw.

Li Tieying is a retired politician of the People's Republic of China. He held many positions since 1955, including Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is an author of several books. For more than 20 years he served as Minister in charge of the State Commission for Economic Restructuring, and participated in major decision making and the implementation of China’s economic reforms during that time.

Simon Min Sze, or Shi Min, is a Chinese-American electrical engineer. He is best known for inventing the floating-gate MOSFET with Korean electrical engineer Dawon Kahng in 1967.
