Kwun-Lai Ng (1934-2018) is a former Chinese actress and Cantonese opera singer from Hong Kong. Ng is credited with over 150 films.

Xue Chen is a Chinese female beach volleyball player, measuring 191 centimetres in height. Her hometown is Fuzhou, but she trains in Sanya, Hainan. She has also trained in California under coach Dane Selznick.

Zhang Ouying was a Chinese football (soccer) player who competed in the 2000 Summer Olympics and in the 2004 Summer Olympics as well as the 1999, 2003, and 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup. She was a member of the Chinese team that won the silver medal at the 1999 World Cup.

Vivian Wu or Wu Junmei is a Chinese-born American actress. Her big break came in 1987, appearing in the biographical film The Last Emperor. She later went to starring in films Iron & Silk (1990), The Guyver (1991), Heaven & Earth (1993), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993), The Joy Luck Club (1993), and most notable playing the leading roles in The Pillow Book (1996) and The Soong Sisters (1997). In 2020, she stars as Dr. Lu Wang in the Netflix science fiction drama Away.

Tan Sitong, courtesy name Fusheng (復生), pseudonym Zhuangfei (壯飛), was a well-known Chinese politician, thinker and reformist in the late Qing Dynasty (1644–1911). He was executed at the age of 33 when the Reformation Movement failed in 1898. Tan Sitong was one of the "Six gentlemen of the Hundred Days' Reform" (戊戌六君子) and occupies an important place in modern Chinese history. To many contemporaries, his execution symbolized the political failure of the Qing Dynasty's reformation, helping to persuade the intellectual class to pursue violent revolution and overthrow the Qing Dynasty.

Huang Mengying, also known as Maggie Huang, is a Chinese actress who graduated from the Beijing Film Academy. She rose to fame for her role as Sujin in Eternal Love (2017), and gained increased recognition for her supporting roles in Princess Agents and Lost Love in Times.

Zheng Zeguang is a Chinese diplomat current serving as the Chinese Ambassador to the United Kingdom, and former Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China.

Feng Yü-hsiang was a warlord and leader in Republican China from Chaohu, Anhui. He served as Vice Premier of the Republic of China from 1928 to 1930. He was also known as the Christian General for his zeal to convert his troops and the Betrayal General for his penchant to break with the establishment. In 1911 he was an officer in the ranks of Yuan Shikai's Beiyang Army but joined forces with revolutionaries against the Qing dynasty. He rose to high rank within Wu Peifu's Zhili warlord faction but launched the Beijing Coup in 1924 that knocked Zhili out of power and brought Sun Yat-sen to Beijing. He joined the Nationalist Party (KMT), supported the Northern Expedition and became blood brothers with Chiang Kai-shek, but resisted Chiang's consolidation of power in the Central Plains War and broke with him again in resisting Japanese incursions in 1933. He spent his later years supporting the Revolutionary Committee of the Kuomintang.
