Masuo Ikeda was a Japanese painter, printmaker, illustrator, sculptor, ceramist, novelist, and film director from Nagano Prefecture.

Wang Shouren, courtesy name Bo'an, was a Chinese calligrapher, military general, philosopher, politician, and writer during the Ming dynasty. After Zhu Xi, he is commonly regarded as the most important Neo-Confucian thinker, with interpretations of Confucianism that denied the rationalist dualism of the orthodox philosophy of Zhu Xi. Wang was known as Yangming Xiansheng and/or Yangming Zi in literary circles; both mean "Master Yangming".

Zhang Xiaoming is a Chinese politician and former director of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office. He rose to that post from directorship of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong and left it by way of demotion to deputy director in 2020.

Gao Zhisheng is a Chinese human rights attorney and dissident known for defending activists and religious minorities and documenting human rights abuses in China. Because of his work, Zhisheng has been disbarred and detained by the Chinese government several times, and severely tortured. He last disappeared in February 2009 and was unofficially detained until December 2011, when it was announced that he has now been imprisoned for three years. His commitment to defending his clients is influenced by his Christian beliefs and their tenets on morality and compassion.

Mona Fong Yat-wah, Lady Shaw was a Hong Kong film and television producer and production manager. She was born Li Menglan in Shanghai. She achieved fame as one of the most popular nightclub singers and recording artists in Singapore and Hong Kong in the 1950s, especially singing English covers of top hits of the time. She married media mogul Sir Run Run Shaw and became Deputy Chairman and General Manager of Shaw Brothers Studio and Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB).
