Ermengarde of Anjou, Duchess of Burgundy
Ermengarde of Anjou, known as Blanche, was a Duchess consort of Burgundy. She was the daughter of Count Fulk III of Anjou and Hildegarde of Sundgau. She was sometimes known as Ermengarde-Blanche.
Francis II
Francis II of Brittany was Duke of Brittany from 1458 to his death. He was the grandson of John IV, Duke of Brittany. A recurring theme in Francis' life would be his quest to maintain the quasi-independence of Brittany from France. As such, his reign was characterized by conflicts with King Louis XI of France and with his daughter, Anne of France, who served as regent during the minority of her brother, King Charles VIII. The armed and unarmed conflicts from 1465-1477 and 1484–1488 have been called the "War of the Public Weal" and the Mad War, respectively.
Christophe Béchu
Christophe Béchu is a French politician who has been serving as President of the General Council of the Maine-et-Loire department since 2004. He briefly served as a Member of the European Parliament from 2009 until 2011, representing the West France constituency. A former member of DL, he was a member of the leading centre-right Union for a Popular Movement, later The Republicans, until leaving the party in early December 2017.

Alain Levoyer was a French property lawyer and politician. He served as a member of the National Assembly from 1993 to 1997, where he represented Maine-et-Loire. He was also the mayor of Champtoceaux from 1977 to 2001.
John III, Duke of Brittany
John III the Good was duke of Brittany, from 1312 to his death and 5th Earl of Richmond from 1334 to his death. He was the son of Duke Arthur II and Mary of Limoges, his first wife. John was strongly opposed to his father's second marriage to Yolande of Dreux, Queen of Scotland and attempted to contest its legality.

Maurice Edmond Sailland, better known by his pen-name Curnonsky, and dubbed the Prince of Gastronomy, was the most celebrated writer on gastronomy in France in the 20th century. He wrote or ghost-wrote over 65 books and enormous numbers of newspaper columns. He is often considered the inventor of gastronomic motor-tourism as popularized by Michelin, though he himself could not drive. He was a student of Henri-Paul Pellaprat.
Robert I of France
Robert I, was the elected King of West Francia from 922 to 923. Before his election to the throne he was Count of Poitiers, Count of Paris and Marquis of Neustria and Orléans. He succeeded the overthrown Carolingian king Charles the Simple, who in 898 had succeeded Robert's brother, king Odo.
