Benjamin Rabier (1864–1939) was a French illustrator, comic book artist and animator. He became famous for creating La vache qui rit and is one of the precursors of animal comics. His work has inspired many other artists, notably Hergé and Edmond-François Calvo.

Alfred Marie-Joseph Heurtaux was a French World War I fighter ace credited with 21 victories. Later in his life, he joined the French Resistance during World War II, and survived imprisonment in Buchenwald death camp to become a brigadier general in the post war Armée de l'Air.

Denis Zanko is a French former professional footballer and current manager. He made over 250 league appearances for five different clubs during his playing career before becoming a coach in 1995. He went on to manage Valence and Le Mans B, and was appointed first-team manager at Le Mans in December 2011.

Marie Pape-Carpantier (1815–1878) was a French educator born on 11 September 1815 in Sarthe, France and died in Villiers-le-Bel (Val-d'Oise) on 31 July 1878. She grew to play a major part in revolutionizing education in French schools. She was a feminist who worked to fix poverty, social injustice, and to further the education of girls. She also wrote articles for the weekly French newspaper "The French Economist".

Hugo Pierre Leclercq, better known by his stage name Madeon, is a French musician, DJ, record producer, singer and songwriter from Nantes, currently based in Los Angeles. He initially came to widespread public attention through a YouTube video, "Pop Culture", where he performed a mash-up of 39 different popular songs in real-time using a Novation Launchpad. It received millions of hits in its first few days of release. Leclercq has cited The Beatles and Daft Punk as his greatest musical influences.

Nicolas Edet is a French professional road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Cofidis. In October 2020, he was named in the startlist for the 2020 Giro d'Italia.

Kévin N'Doram is a French professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder or defender for Ligue 1 club FC Metz. He is the son of the Chadian retired footballer Japhet N'Doram.
