Antoine Rivalz was a French painter. Born in Toulouse, the son of Jean-Pierre Rivalz, Antoine became the town's official painter, and was a talented portraitist of the society of the city in the 18th century. He also produced a large number of drawings.

Alain Pierre Seban is a French cultural institution head and senior official. He was the president of the Pompidou Centre in Paris until February 2015. As such, he also heads three organisations linked to the Pompidou Centre: the Centre Pompidou-Metz, the Bibliothèque publique d’information and the IRCAM.

Emmanuelle Salasc is a French author. 

Grégoire Gaspard Félix Coffinières, later Coffinières de Nordeck was a French general. He was commander of the École Polytechnique during the Second French Empire. During the Franco-Prussian War in 1870, he commanded the fortifications of Metz, which he surrendered without defending them.

Pierre Marie Jeanne Alexandre Thérèse Guiraud better known as Alexandre Guiraud was a French poet, dramatic author and novelist.
