Ann Shulgin is an American author and the widow of chemist Alexander Shulgin, with whom she wrote PiHKAL and TiHKAL.

Michael Stephen Seresin, ONZM BSC, is a New Zealand cinematographer, best known for several collaborations with the British director Alan Parker and for his work on the third Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. As a film director, Seresin directed Homeboy, starring and written by Mickey Rourke.

Chris Donaldson is a New Zealand sprinter who represented his country at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics. He is the son of film director Roger Donaldson. He also competed at the 1998 and 2006 Commonwealth Games. He was part of the 4 by 100m relay team that set the current national record. Currently, Chris is the strength and conditioning coach of the NZ National Cricket team. He has been appointed as the strength and conditioning coach of the IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders.

David Ross Ardern is a New Zealand diplomat and former police officer. He is currently the Administrator of Tokelau, having previously served as the High Commissioner of New Zealand to Niue from 2014 to 2018, and as Niue's police commissioner from 2005 to 2009.

Pianist Jeffrey Grice was born in 1954 in Christchurch, New Zealand. In 1966, his family moved to Auckland where he attended Sacred Heart College in Glen Innes, counting among his classmates the future founding members of NZ's iconic rock band Split Enz. While studying languages at Waikato University in Hamilton from 1971 to 1972, classical piano became his passion as he began to perform in lunchtime concerts on campus. Waikato University having no music faculty back in the 1970s, he auditioned in 1972 for the music department of the University of Auckland where, from 1973 to 1976, he studied with Janetta McStay and Bryan Sayer, graduating in French and Music. With a Queen Elizabeth Arts Council grant and a French Government scholarship, Grice left New Zealand in October 1976 to further his piano studies in Paris with Yvonne Loriod, obtaining the Licence de Concert at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Musique in 1978 in the class of Germaine Mounier. Other formative influences came from intensive classes in Israel with Enrique Barenboim from 1979 to 1980, from the coaching of the American pianist and musicologist Charles Rosen and later from the French/Argentine pianist Florencia Raitzin-Legrand.

Michael Charles Corballis is a New Zealand psychologist and author. He is emeritus professor at the Department of Psychology at the University of Auckland. His fields of research are cognitive neuroscience, including visual perception, visual imagery, attention, memory and the evolution of language.

Hayden Roulston is a former New Zealand professional racing cyclist. He won the silver medal in the men's 4000 m individual pursuit and a bronze medal in the men's 4000 m team pursuit at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
