Bishop Metod Pirih was a Slovenian Roman Catholic prelate who served as the second Bishop of the Diocese of Koper from 16 April 1987 until his retirement on 26 May 2012. Before he was a Coadjutor Bishop of the same Diocese since 25 March 1985 until 16 April 1987.

Frédéric Pietruszka is a French fencer. He won a gold medal in the team foil event at the 1980 Summer Olympics and a bronze in the same events at the 1976 and 1984 Summer Olympics.

Giampaolo Cheula is an Italian former professional racing cyclist. After retiring from road cycling in 2011, Cheula raced as a mountain biker for a year. Cheula was professional from 2001 until 2011, for teams Mapei–Quick-Step, Vini Caldirola–Nobili Rubinetterie, Barloworld and Geox–TMC.
