Smith attended Wright State University and was drafted by the Mets in the third round of the 2006 Major League Baseball draft. He made his major league debut in 2007.

Michael Payton was an American football quarterback. He played college football for the Marshall Thundering Herd at Marshall University. He was the recipient of the 1992 Walter Payton Award, which is bestowed annually upon Division I-AA's most outstanding player. After college, he played one season in the Arena Football League for the Florida Bobcats.

Oleg Nikolayevich Kozhemyako, born 17 March 1962, is the Governor of Primorsky Krai since 2018. Previously he was the Governor of Sakhalin Oblast, Russia. President Vladimir Putin appointed him to the position on March 25, 2015 to replace former Governor Alexander Khoroshavin who was arrested and charged with accepting bribes. Previously, Kozhemyako served two terms as Governor of Amur Oblast and one term as the Head of Koryak Autonomous Okrug.

Tul Bahadur Pun was a Nepalese Gurkha recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. He later achieved the rank of Honorary Lieutenant. In addition to the Victoria Cross, Pun was awarded 10 other medals, including the Burma Star.
